Dear fellow member of IASSW:
If you or someone you know is from Australia, Brazil, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong SAR, India, Mexico, Tunisia, United Kingdom, and Ukraine The Mitacs Globalink Research Internship in Canada offers a competitive initiative for international undergraduate students. From May to October of each year, top-ranked applicants participate in a 12-week research internship under the supervision of Canadian university faculty members in a variety of academic disciplines. More information about Mitca Globalink Research Internship can be found here: https://www.mitacs.ca/en/programs/globalink/globalink-research-internship
Eleven of my projects were supported by Mitacs funding (please see the list of the projects on the website https://krasun.ca/2019/08/13/mitacs-globalink-research-internships-summer-2020-at-thompson-rivers-university/ ). My projects aim to invite one social work student from each of the Mitacs participating country to visit Canada in May-June 2020 to support my initiative on creating global map of Schools of Social Work, one country at a time. If you or someone you know have a student who might be interested in the research internship or other Mitacs internships please forward this e-mail and encourage them to apply before the September 18th deadline.
If you might be interested in creating future projects together please do not hesitate to contact me. I am an assistant professor at the School of Social Work and Human Service at the Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada and plan to submit more projects for future Mitacs funding to provide social work students from around the world opportunity to visit Canada and practice their research skills under my supervision.
Thank you for your consideration.
