IASSW celebrates #SWSD2020 at the UN Geneva with the Workshop \u201cCommunity engagements for social and environmental justice\u201d at the UN\u00a0 Geneva, in the International Conference Centre. Wednesday, 18 March 2020.<\/p>\n

This event is organized together with the International Federation of Social Workers, Haute \u00e9cole de travail social de Fribourg (HETS-FR) and with the United Nations of Research Institute for Social Development. Every year, social workers and their partners around the globe gather to celebrate World Social Work Day.<\/p>\n

The 2020\u00a0edition in Geneva, organized in partnership with\u00a0Jai Jagat<\/a>\u00a0global march for justice and peace, will focus on\u00a0Community Engagements for Social and Environmental Justice<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The keynote speakers of the day will be\u00a0Yvonne Ria\u00f1o<\/strong>, specialist in Geographies of Inequality and\u00a0Aruna Roy<\/strong>, founder-member of one of the largest Indiand civil rights movement.<\/p>\n

Members of the diplomatic community and international organizations, social work students and practitioners, and representatives of NGOs and civil society are warmly invited to join us for a day of relevant and inspiring activities.<\/p>\n
