In particular we would like Black women working in practice, academe, policy and activist organizations to write a short article outlining their experiences -issues- contributions and challenges, particularly in working with black clients, students, colleagues, with government officials and in agencies and government bodies. We ask contributors to consider what s

ocial work says historically what about black social work and how beliefs are structured by race, gender and sexual constructs. In addition, we are also interested in exploring how racist beliefs and practices are still perpetuated in the professional context and how we can challenge them. This can help anti-oppressive social work provide the best kind of analysis and practice in working with people of colour

Guest editors

Irene Gyane

Iris SilvaBrito

Tracy Omorogivwa

Date of submission: 30.09.2020

Date of publication: November 2020

Length: 2,000 words (including references)

Abstract (150 words) plus author(s) name and affiliation

Photos: Please include photos of authors and include some that highlight your articles topic

www.socialdialogue.online

Please send articles to Carolyn.Noble@acap.edu.au

Call For Articles /Submission Social Dialogue#23 Topic: Social work through a black feminist lens In the next edition of social dialogue, the editors would like to explore social work with a black feminist lens.
