About the book:

This edited volume critically explores how Social Work Education can be reimagined to address urgent social, economic and environmental challenges. It will include contributions on transformative pedagogies, curriculum reform, decolonial frameworks, indigenous knowledge systems (IKKs), green social work, peacebuilding and practice-based innovations. It will be a volume of the AOSIS Knowledge Pathing: Multi-, Inter- and Trans-Disciplining in Social Sciences Series once accepted post-peer review by independent experts in the field(s).

Submission guidelines:

Chapters must be original and aligned with the book’s theme.

Length: 6,000–6,500 words, including references (APA 7th edition).

Abstracts and chapters must be submitted in MS Word format.

Include full names, institutional affiliation, ROR, ORCID and contact details in the chapter, with the corresponding author listed first, in the format:

  • Each corresponding author must complete the publisher’s chapter cover letter and submit it in MS Word format to the editors.
  • Ensure figures (charts, graphs, SmartArt, tables) are original and editable (no screenshots). Submit photos, screenshots, illustrations, etc., in high resolution (≥ 300 DPI). Obtain permission for third-party figures under CC BY and submit the permission form(s). Refer to the publisher’s figure and permissions guidelines.
  • Align your chapter with the publisher’s manuscript preparation guidelines.
