The Journal of Internal Displacement (JID) invites submissions for its upcoming Special Issue (January 2026) on the theme:
“Internal Displacement: Dynamics of Policy, Projects and Administration Nexus.”
This issue seeks critical, evidence-based, and interdisciplinary contributions that examine the complex factors shaping internal displacement, including the roles of policy, development projects, and administrative systems. Manuscripts should explore the causes, consequences, and potential solutions for internal displacement in diverse global contexts.
Suggested Topics (not limited to):
- National/regional policy frameworks and internal displacement
- Development projects and their displacement effects
- Administrative responses to internal displacement
- Climate, environmental, and disaster-related displacement
- Conflict-induced and human-animal conflict displacement
- Impacts on marginalized groups (e.g., elderly, women, children, LGBTQ+, Indigenous Peoples, persons with disabilities)
- Advocacy, resistance, resilience, and rights-based responses

- Length: 15–30 pages (~7,500–15,000 words, including references)

- Publication Fee: None – JID is a free, open-access journal
