Chaime Marcuello-Servós
Chaime Marcuello-Servós, born in 1965, professor of Social Work and Social Services in the Department of Psychology and Sociology at the University of Zaragoza (Spain). He did his doctoral thesis (1997) on international development cooperation in Central America. From there, he studied NGOs, social economy, social policies, and socio-cybernetics. He researches in Clinical and Digital
Social Work as well as in the interactions of social work and technologies, with special emphasis on the field of artificial intelligence.
He is Vice-Dean of Teaching Organization at the Faculty of Social and Labour Sciences (2019…). He founded (1999) and coordinates the Interdisciplinary Group for Teaching Innovation (GIDID). He is co-founder (1998) of the Group of Social and Economic Studies of the Third Sector (GESES).
He is editor of Brill Research Perspectives in Sociocybernetics and Complexity Studies (2019-…). He was editor of Current Sociology Monographs and SAGE Studies in International Sociology Books (2016-2023). He serves on the International Editorial Board of Nordic Social Work Research and is an abstracts translator for International Social Work. Moreover, member of several social organizations, i.e., secretary of the Down Syndrome Studies Society.
