Call for chapters / Invitation to contribute a book chapter on Postcolonial Social Work (Routledge)

Call for Chapter Proposals

Decolonial Re-positioning of Post- and Decolonial Social Work in Times of Global Crisis

This edited volume positions itself as an intervention in ongoing debates on coloniality, structural violence, racial capitalism, and epistemic domination. It examines Social Work’s historical entanglements with colonial governance while foregrounding its transformative potential.

We seek contributions that critically interrogate hegemonic knowledge systems, engage shrinking democratic spaces, analyse geopolitical domination, and centre decolonial praxis emerging from the Global South/Majority World and marginalised contexts within the Global North.

Deadline for abstracts: 31 May 2026
