During the Second International Seminar organized by the Brazilian Association of Social Work Teachers and Researchers (ABEPSS), a book was launched containing papers and presentations from the First International Seminar held in Belém, Brazil, in 2004.
The publication includes the keynote address delivered by former International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW) President Annamaria Campanini, titled:
“Geopolítica del Trabajo Social Global y Desafíos de la AIETS: Internacionalización y producción de conocimiento, construcción de redes de investigadores desde la perspectiva de la AIETS y sus regionales.”
In her keynote, Professor Campanini examines the geopolitics of global social work and discusses the challenges and opportunities associated with the internationalization of social work education and knowledge production. The presentation also highlights the importance of strengthening research networks and fostering collaboration among social work educators, researchers, and institutions through IASSW (AIETS) and its regional associations.
This publication represents an important contribution to the ongoing dialogue on international social work, knowledge exchange, and global cooperation within the profession.
