IASSW President Delivers Keynote at the 7th International Conference on Practice Research

The International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW) is pleased to share that Prof. Antoinette Lombard, President of IASSW, was an invited keynote speaker at the 7th International Conference on Practice Research, held from 7–9 July 2026 at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), Singapore.

The conference, themed “Practice Research Without Borders: Inclusion and Change Across Sectors and Contexts,” brought together researchers, educators, practitioners, and policymakers from around the world to explore how practice research can promote inclusion and drive meaningful change across diverse sectors and contexts.

On the third day of the conference, Prof. Lombard joined Prof. Tsui Ming Sum, Editor of International Social Work, and Mr. Chan Whee Peng, President of the Singapore Association of Social Workers, for the keynote session titled “Practice Research Across Borders and Sectors: Inclusion and Change.“

Representing IASSW, Prof. Lombard shared the Association’s perspective on strengthening international collaboration, fostering inclusive practice, and advancing practice research that responds to global and local challenges. Her presentation emphasized the value of crossing geographical, disciplinary, and sectoral boundaries to generate knowledge that contributes to social justice and sustainable social development.
