You are warmly invited to submit abstracts for the Climate Justice Now: Social Work at the Frontlines of Climate Change, Disasters, and Environmental Justice conference, to be held on 11–12 January 2027 at The University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona Campus, Jamaica.
This international conference will bring together social work educators, researchers, practitioners, students, policymakers, activists, and interdisciplinary partners to explore the critical role of social work in addressing climate change, disaster resilience, and environmental justice.
Abstract submissions are invited on a range of topics, including:
- Climate justice and social work
- Disaster preparedness, response, and recovery
- Environmental racism, inequality, and structural justice
- Innovations in social work practice, policy, and education
Important dates:
- Abstract submission deadline: 31 August 2026
- Notification of acceptance: 1 October 2026
