Applications Open: UCalgary MSW International and Community Development Specialization

Applications are now open for the Master of Social Work (MSW) International and Community Development (ICD) specialization at the University of Calgary.

The program prepares students for leadership, research, and policy roles, providing the knowledge and skills needed to critically examine and engage with development policies and practices. Students also learn ethical approaches to working with diverse populations in global and local contexts.

Program Information

• The UCalgary MSW is accredited by the Canadian Association for Social Work Education.
• The ICD specialization is primarily online.
• Students are required to attend an annual four-day residency in Calgary.
• Course-based students also complete practicum work experience.
• The application deadline for May 2027 entry is November 3, 2026.
