Children and Family Social Work – Springer Series
We are pleased to announce a Call for Chapters for a forthcoming edited volume on Children and Family Social Work, commissioned by Springer Nature as part of the Major Research Works series in social work. The series is led by Professor Richard Hugman, Emeritus Professor of Social Work at the University of New South Wales, Australia.
This volume will bring together leading scholarship and critical insights on children and families in diverse contexts. We invite contributions from scholars and practitioners that reflect both research evidence and implications for social work practice and policy.

- Abstract submission deadline: November 15, 2025
- Full chapter submission deadline: March 30, 2026
Submission Guidelines
Chapters should provide a comprehensive review of recent research findings in the selected area and highlight their implications for practice and policy. Contributions will be peer-reviewed and published both online (with pre-publication access to individual chapters) and in print.
Authors will also have the opportunity to update their chapters periodically, ensuring the volume remains a dynamic and evolving resource.
