Wikipedia Editor for the World Census of Social Work Programs

Dear social work education community,

Please forward this to your social work academic colleagues.

If you have Wikipedia Editor experience, than this request is directed at you – please read the REQUEST below.

I am the chair of the Standing Committee on the World Census of Social Work Programs for the International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW).

We would like to establish a Wikipedia page like the ones below to host the information from the Survey Monkey census that we are about to launch (final translation tweaks in progress).

Lists of universities and colleges by country

Lists of universities and colleges – Subject of study

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lists_of_universities_and_colleges#Subject_of_study (I have added Social Work to the list – but now need help with the next steps)

Every ten years, the International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW) conducts a world census of social work education programs offering at least one degree program in social work.

The major outcome of the census is a directory of contact details for all social work education programs in the world. In the year 2000, the directory contained details of 1384 programs from 114 countries and in 2010 it grew to include 2110 social work degree sites in 125 countries. By 2020 we are aiming to include every social work training institution in the galaxy. The directory also provides insights into the social work profession’s global reach and identifies areas for expansion.

REQUEST:

Please can you provide some guidance to how this can be done. I personally don’ have the skills to replicate these examples from scratch.

Any ideas or suggestions or volunteer assistance will be very welcomed.

Sincerely,
Dr John Victor Rautenbach
