A message from IASSW President and Board on Disaster in Kerala, India

To Indian Social Work Educators,

As IASSW community we are thinking of the population that are struggling with the aftermath of the catastrophic flooding in Kerala, with more than 300 people death and more than 200.000 people displaced .

Once again, we are facing the effects of the natural disasters that are causing loss of life and devastation of the environment.

We send our heartfelt condolences to all those who have lost their loved ones and wish for speedy recovery of the effects of this disaster.

We are committed to enhance the focus in education, practice and research on the issues of disasters intervention in keeping with our Global Agenda theme.
