Invitation to Contribute to the International Journal of Qualitative Methods (IJQM) Special Collections

The International Journal of Qualitative Methods (IJQM), published by SAGE, welcomes submissions to its Special Collections focusing on advancements in qualitative and mixed methods research. The journal provides an international, peer-reviewed, open access platform dedicated to methodological innovation and dialogue on qualitative research methods across disciplines.

The Special Collections aim to bring together contributions that advance qualitative inquiry, explore methodological developments, and engage with emerging research approaches relevant to contemporary research contexts. Contributions from researchers and practitioners across disciplines, including social work, sociology, education, health, communication, and related fields, are encouraged.

Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

  • Participation, Power and Contestation
  • Political Economy of Participatory Knowledge
  • From Local Participation to Systems Change
  • Ethics, Accountability, and Relational Responsibility
  • Participation in Times of Digital, Algorithmic and Data Colonization
  • Participation in the Contexts of Crisis and Disruptions
  • Co-production of knowledge and participatory research
